Thank you for making the
2009 Back Up Your Birth Control
Day of Action a SUCCESS!
Back Up Your Birth Control is a national campaign committed to raising awareness of and expanding access to emergency contraception (EC). Every year, leading national advocacy organizations, service providers, and other community stakeholders participate in activities such as grassroots organizing, provider and public education, and policy debates, which culminate in our Back Up Your Birth Control Day of Action.
This year's Back Up Your Birth Control Day of Action was especially exciting because it cames on the heels of a federal decision to make EC available over-the-counter to seventeen-year-olds.
With the public is paying more attention to EC than they have in years, we seized the opportunity to raise awareness about EC.
